Basso SV

One Bike. Every Kind of Fast.

The Basso SV is built around a simple but ambitious idea: create one exceptional Italian road bike capable of delivering speed, efficiency and confidence across every kind of ride.

At only 780 grams for a size 53 frame, the SV combines the responsiveness of a lightweight climbing bike with the aerodynamic efficiency of a dedicated race machine. Its balanced geometry, generous tire clearance and carefully engineered compliance make it equally suited to fast group rides, long days in the saddle, mountain roads and race-day attacks.

Light when the road rises. Aerodynamic when the speed climbs. Composed when the miles add up. The SV is not designed for one perfect road—it is designed for all of them.

Italian Carbon Engineering

Handcrafted in Italy, the SV’s advanced carbon construction delivers Basso’s highest levels of bottom-bracket and head-tube torsional stiffness to date.

That stiffness matters when accelerating, climbing out of the saddle or driving through a fast corner. Rider input is translated immediately into forward motion, while the frame’s precisely tuned carbon layup prevents the ride from feeling unnecessarily harsh.

The result is a bike that feels eager and responsive without becoming exhausting on longer rides.

Aerodynamics Without Compromise

Basso reduced the SV’s frontal impact area by 16 percent, carefully shaping the frame, fork and cockpit to move cleanly through the air.

Unlike an extreme aero bike, the SV achieves this efficiency without sacrificing low weight, natural handling or everyday usability. It rewards the rider on exposed roads, fast pacelines and rolling terrain while retaining the lively character expected from a premium Italian race bike.

Speed With Real-World Comfort

The SV proves that comfort and performance are not competing ideas.

Its sloping geometry, increased stack and specially engineered seatpost work with Basso’s vibration-damping 3B Clamp System to reduce fatigue and soften rough pavement. This allows the rider to maintain an efficient position and produce power deeper into the ride.

Clearance for tires up to 35mm on compatible 25mm internal-width rims provides additional freedom to tune the bike for speed, comfort and road conditions. Choose narrower tires for a traditional race feel or greater volume for increased grip, control and all-day comfort.

Fuga or Levita Cockpit

The SV offers two integrated cockpit options, allowing the front end to be tailored to the rider rather than forcing every rider into the same position.

The Fuga Integrated Cockpit is optimized for a narrower, more aerodynamic riding position. Its compact 65mm reach and subtle backsweep create a natural transition to the controls while helping reduce frontal area.

The Levita Integrated Cockpit provides a more traditional fit and feel, with a broader selection of stem-length and handlebar-width combinations. It is an excellent choice for riders who prioritize precise fit, familiar ergonomics and versatile road performance.

Both options provide fully integrated cable routing, clean Italian styling and compatibility with Basso’s ecosystem of computer mounts and accessories.

Choose Your SV Build

The SV is available in several carefully selected build packages. Every option shares the same Italian-made carbon frameset, geometry and fundamental ride quality—the difference is how far you want to take weight, shifting performance, component finish and exclusivity.

Shimano Ultegra Di2

The Ultegra Di2 build is the sweet spot in the SV collection, delivering virtually everything a serious road rider needs without moving into superbike pricing.

Shimano’s electronic 12-speed drivetrain provides fast, accurate shifting with excellent braking control and proven reliability. The shift buttons have a light, precise action, while the hydraulic disc brakes offer predictable modulation in changing conditions.

This is the build for riders who want race-level performance, dependable everyday operation and exceptional overall value. It is equally at home on fast group rides, long endurance events and competitive race days.

SRAM Force AXS

The Force AXS build combines wireless electronic shifting with SRAM’s intuitive control layout and wide-ranging gearing possibilities.

Wireless communication creates a particularly clean cockpit and makes drivetrain adjustments or component changes straightforward. SRAM’s gearing philosophy provides smaller transitions at the front and a broad usable range, helping riders maintain cadence across rolling terrain and steep climbs.

Force AXS is ideal for riders who value wireless simplicity, easy customization through the SRAM AXS app and modern drivetrain ergonomics.

Shimano Dura-Ace Di2

Dura-Ace Di2 takes the familiar precision and reliability of Ultegra and reduces weight while elevating component materials, braking performance and finish.

Shifts are exceptionally quick and refined, the controls feel precise in the hand and the complete system is designed for riders seeking Shimano’s highest level of road performance.

This is the natural SV build for racers, weight-conscious riders and anyone who wants the flagship Shimano experience without sacrificing day-to-day dependability.

SRAM RED AXS

SRAM RED AXS brings lighter construction, refined braking ergonomics and premium wireless performance to the SV.

Its updated controls are designed to reduce hand effort while braking, and wireless Bonus Buttons can provide additional shifting control from the tops. The system offers extensive personalization through the AXS app, allowing the rider to customize button functions and shifting behavior.

Choose RED AXS for an exceptionally clean build, low system weight and SRAM’s most advanced wireless road technology.

Campagnolo Super Record 13

For riders who want the SV to express its Italian identity at the highest level, Campagnolo Super Record 13 is the signature build.

The 13-speed drivetrain combines an expanded gear selection with smaller cadence changes between ratios, helping the rider remain in the ideal gear as terrain and speed change. Premium materials and distinctive Campagnolo design complement the SV’s Italian construction beautifully.

This is the build for the rider who wants performance, craftsmanship and exclusivity to carry equal importance.

Wheel and Component Options

The drivetrain establishes the character of each build, but the wheels and fit components complete the experience.

A lighter wheelset improves acceleration and climbing response. A deeper aerodynamic wheelset rewards riders who spend more time at higher speeds. The correct cockpit dimensions, crank length, gearing and saddle ensure the performance of the SV works for the individual rider.

At Mad Duck Cyclery, we can configure your SV around the way you actually ride instead of simply handing you a predetermined component list.
