Sixfinity suspension, explained
Sixfinity uses six links to control the rear wheel’s path and operate the shock. The arrangement gives Yeti room to tune three behaviors independently: the response to pedaling, the response to braking, and how the shock is driven through the travel.
Pedaling support where you use it
As the Switch Link rises, Sixfinity provides higher anti-squat around sag—the position the suspension settles into under the rider. Deeper into the travel, the link changes direction and anti-squat drops, prioritizing suspension movement during descending.
A considered response to braking
Anti-rise describes the suspension’s response to braking. Yeti tunes this separately to balance traction and the bike’s attitude under braking.
Progression you can choose
The MT offers 10%, 15% and 20% leverage-rate progression settings. Changing the chip alters the suspension’s progression while retaining geometry, anti-squat and anti-rise.

A decade behind the new MT
Yeti traces the development back to aluminum Sixfinity prototypes in 2016, followed by a carbon trail-bike prototype in 2019. Downhill race projects and later test platforms helped refine the system before the production MT arrived in 2026. The MT’s story is about applying that development to a trail bike, with suspension behavior tuned for its intended use.
The frame uses Yeti’s TURQ carbon construction. Details include internal frame storage and size-specific chainstays. Together with its suspension, those features give riders several practical reasons to look beyond travel numbers alone.

What does that mean for your ride?
Start with the terrain you ride most often. Think about how much time you spend pedaling, the roughness of your descents, and whether you prefer a more supportive or more yielding suspension feel. Those answers are more useful than choosing a setup from a single number.
Progression settings are only part of setup. Air pressure, sag and damping also matter. Use Yeti’s setup guidance for your exact build, make one change at a time, and compare the result on a familiar trail. Follow the owner’s manual when changing chip positions.
