Before the build sheet

Tell us about
your ride.

Maybe you’re lining up for a fast race. Maybe your favorite route mixes pavement, gravel and whatever that last turn gets you into. Or maybe you’re planning a ride where the distance—and everything you need to carry—becomes part of the challenge.

At Mad Duck, we’d start there. Where do you ride? How long are you out? What works on your current bike, and what would you change?

The ELARA, ALUTO and SARANA give us three different starting points. Here’s how we’d talk through them across the counter.

01

ELARA / Race speed

Built at Mad Duck.
Ready for the start line.

For the rider whose next big goal has a race number attached.

Factor positions the ELARA around high-speed gravel racing, with aerodynamic efficiency and race-focused handling among its priorities.

Put it on your shortlist if preparing for an event, finding speed and choosing equipment around that goal are what get you excited. Then let’s talk about the position you can ride comfortably, the surfaces you’ll encounter and the demands of your target events.

Start here if: race speed leads your buying conversation.

ALUTO / Race balance

For the route
that keeps changing.

A little pavement. A little gravel. A calendar that refuses to stick to one script.

One conversation worth having

What does “a bit of everything” mean to you?

Bring us your usual routes. Your idea of mixed terrain is the detail that makes this comparison useful.

Factor positions the ALUTO around balance, combining racing intent with agility and adaptability across changing terrain.

It’s worth discussing when your calendar holds a mixture of rides and events. You may care about speed without wanting every equipment decision to revolve around one particular race.

“Balanced” still needs some definition. Tell us about your surfaces, distances and riding position so we can make the comparison about your rides.

Start here if: you want to compare a race-oriented gravel bike built around varied terrain and demands.

03

SARANA / Race endurance

The SARANA.
Ready for ANYTHING.

For the long way. The self-supported plan. The ride you’ve been thinking about for months.

Tell us where you want to take it. We’ll work through the setup for that ride.

Factor positions the SARANA around ultra-distance and self-supported gravel racing, emphasizing sustained efficiency, stability and control as fatigue builds.

If your plans involve very long events or carrying what you need between stops, it deserves a place in the conversation.

We’d talk through what you’ll carry, the gearing your routes call for and the position you’ll need to sustain. Frame choice is one part of getting that complete setup right.

Start here if: ultra-distance or self-supported racing is central to your plans.
