The place / Veneto, Italia
The Brenta River. The covered bridge. Green foothills opening toward Monte Grappa. Around Bassano del Grappa, riding belongs to the landscape and to everyday life.
This is Basso’s world: roads shared with friends, a climb worth lingering over, and a bicycle that invites another day out. The Venta R offers a way into that culture, with performance you can put to work on your own favorite roads.

The makers / A family name since 1977
Basso’s story began with Alcide Basso and his fascination with building a better bicycle. Italian carbon frame making remains central to the brand. The Venta R carries that handmade tradition into an accessible performance road bike.

The idea / Performance in balance
Basso designed the Venta R as an all-round performance road bike, bringing premium features to a wider audience. Speed, comfort and handling share the brief.
Aero-profile tubes, dropped seatstays and a rear-wheel cutout address airflow. A straight-bladed fork supports precise handling.
T700 carbon construction, all-round geometry and clearance for tires up to 35 mm give you options for longer rides and varied pavement.
The vibration-damping 3B Gen 2 clamp and Heart Carbon seatpost support comfort. The Stato stem keeps cockpit adjustment practical alongside semi-integrated cables.

The reason / Miles with people
A fast group ride. A solo loop after work. A weekend that turns into a longer day than planned. The appeal of an all-round road bike is how often you want to ride it.

The value / Italian craft within reach
At $3,595 for the Shimano 105 mechanical build, the Venta R makes handmade Italian frame construction part of a realistic road-bike conversation.
When comparing it with bikes manufactured in Asia, put the whole package side by side: frame origin, drivetrain, wheels, fit and support. The Venta R’s case is the combination of Italian craftsmanship, thoughtful design and a clearly priced complete build.
