Yeti ASR Mountain Bike
Cross-Country Speed—The Yeti Way
The Yeti ASR is built for riders who want to go faster everywhere—not only on smooth racecourses, but across the technical, demanding terrain that defines modern cross-country riding.
With 115mm of efficient rear travel, a 120mm suspension fork and an exceptionally lightweight carbon frame, the ASR accelerates quickly, climbs effortlessly and carries speed with confidence. It delivers race-bike efficiency without the nervous handling or harsh ride traditionally associated with lightweight XC machines.
Lightweight Carbon Construction
Every ASR frame is engineered to eliminate unnecessary material while preserving strength, stiffness and precise handling. Yeti uses carefully shaped carbon plies and size-specific layups to give riders of every height the same balanced, responsive ride.
TURQ Series models use Yeti’s lightest and most advanced carbon construction, while C/Series builds provide the same proven geometry and suspension performance in a slightly more value-oriented package.
115mm Flex-Stay Suspension
The ASR’s modern flex-stay suspension provides excellent pedaling support while remaining sensitive to small bumps and changing trail surfaces.
Its carefully tuned leverage curve delivers efficient support through the middle of the travel, where cross-country riders spend most of their time. The final portion becomes progressively firmer, giving the ASR the control needed for larger impacts, technical descents and aggressive racing lines.
120mm Fork
A 120mm fork gives the ASR additional confidence and control on steep or technical terrain without compromising its fast, precise character.
The increased front travel helps absorb harder impacts, improves front-wheel traction and creates a more capable riding position when descending. It allows riders to attack challenging terrain instead of simply surviving it.
Modern Cross-Country Geometry
The ASR places the rider in an efficient climbing position while providing the stability needed to carry speed through rough terrain.
Its balanced geometry creates responsive handling in tight corners, predictable control on descents and a centered riding position that helps both wheels maintain traction. The result is a bike that feels quick and lively without becoming nervous when speeds rise.
29-Inch Wheels and High-Volume Tires
Fast-rolling 29-inch wheels maintain momentum and roll smoothly over roots, rocks and trail obstacles. Clearance for modern 2.4-inch tires provides a larger contact patch for improved traction, braking and cornering confidence.
The added tire volume also allows lower pressures, reducing fatigue and increasing control without taking away from the ASR’s cross-country speed.
Hangerless Interface and UDH Compatibility
The ASR is designed for SRAM’s direct-mount Transmission drivetrains, creating a stronger and more precise connection between the derailleur, frame and rear axle.
Compatibility with the Universal Derailleur Hanger also keeps the frame adaptable to a broad selection of current and legacy drivetrains, making replacement parts easier to find and future upgrades simpler.
Practical Details for Real Rides
Internally guided cable routing keeps the frame clean and quiet while simplifying installation and service. An integrated rear fender helps keep mud and debris away from the suspension, and the threaded bottom bracket provides dependable performance with straightforward maintenance.
Room for two water bottles inside the front triangle makes the ASR especially well suited for marathon racing, long training rides and backcountry adventures.
Who Is It For?
The Yeti ASR is for cross-country racers, marathon riders and anyone who values efficiency but refuses to sacrifice confidence when the trail becomes technical.
It is light enough to feel effortless on the climbs, efficient enough for race day and capable enough to make every descent part of the fun.
Fast when it matters. Capable everywhere. This is cross-country—the Yeti way.
